Inspired by the legendary BMW 507 of the fifties, the year 2000 saw the introduction of the BMW Z8. It was fitted with the BMW Motorsport developed 4.9L V8 petrol engine delivering 410 PS (400 bhp, 294KW) with a six-speed manual gearbox, also found in the E39 M5. This particular Z8 was supplied to a customer in Munich, Germany on the 24th August 2000 and has clocked up 154,000 km. The odometer reading has been verified and is correct. We have acquired the car from its second owner, who has kept it for last 11 years. Today the car still has the original 1st German KFZ-certificate. Finished in stunning ‘Hellrot’ with a black nappa leather trim and matching soft-top. According to the BMW production lists only 137 cars were supplied with this colour scheme, adding to its exclusivity. The nice aluminium space frame has correctly and tight-fitting body panels. The quality of the finish is second to none! This richly accessorised Z8 comes with a wind deflector, tonneau cover and colour-matching metal hardtop with rear defroster. In short: This is an authentic German supplied Z8 in a rare colour scheme.
