Facel Vega FV3b in a great original condition. This rare FV3B was delivered new to none other than Mr. Maurice Trintignant, the famous French racing driver/Formula 1 driver, who registered it on 28th May 1958. Winner of the 1954 Le Mans 24 Hours Race and 1955 Monaco Grand Prix. One of only 90 FV3Bs manufactured during 1957 and 1958, this car is the very last that left the factory. The body is good, solid and the panel fittings are correct. The paint work is old but has the correct patina. It is powered by her original so ‘matching numbers’ 4.9-litre Chrysler V8 engine producing 253bhp, which is coupled to a Torqueflite three-speed automatic transmission. This engine gives the car a topspeed of 203 km/h! Performed in her original colour scheme and still has her original wire wheels. The last owner has had the car is his possession for more than 30 years up to February 2015. The car remains in remarkably original condition and has a lovely patina. The red leather interior is original and has a great patina. Only the carpets are renewed back in the early 80’s. The steel dashboard painted with an imitation wood effect is just stunning. Accompanying paperwork consists a file of bills dating back some 50 years, and the car also comes with the owner's manual, signed by Daninos, the founder of Facel and Mr. Trintignant himself. A very rare car with a fantastic and rich history. The combination of the elegant European style and American V8 power makes it even more fantastic!
