SAMO cars of Bologna, Italy supplied this car on the 15th March 1882. It has clocked up a mere 23.233 km. The cars` complete history has been documented since day 1. It has the original pouch containing the instruction and service booklets. Only 1.007 example of this Berlinetta Boxer Iniezione were ever produced. The third owner completely overhauled the mechanics of the car, right down to the last nut and bolt. This revision was undertaken by a renowned Swiss Ferrari specialist and took 2 years (2005-2006) to complete. For instance; the engine, the transmission, injection system, the cooling system, the brakes, suspension and the exhaust are as new. The revision process has been documented with invoices totalling over 70.000 Swiss Francs and more than 170 photographs! In 2008 at 21.665 km, the engine had further work carried out when the distribution belts and clutch were replaced. After the revision in 2005-2006, it has driven 4000 km and only 1.564 km following the replacement of distribution belts and clutch. From 2010 to 2013 this car formed part of the famous ' La Cavalleria' Ferrari collection. The car now has better performance than when it rolled off the production line!! The bodywork is outstanding with perfectly fitting panels and panel-gaps. The finish is sublime. The chassis is as good as new with no signs of any corrosion. The interior exudes the right patina and is a thing of beauty to behold. The car has a ' Gesamtzustand 1' and has been thoroughly inspected by Classic Data. In addition to the latter, it also has a FIVA Passport with classification; A-3. This is an exceptional 512BBi with correct credentials and history.
