In 1966 a Mercedes engineer decided to put the famous Mercedes 600 Limousine M100 engine in a ‘normal’ 300 SEL. The result was the birth of one of the fastest sedans of its era. The 300 SEL / 6.3 was in production between 1968 to 1972. This European example, registered in 1972, is one of the last of the series. It has had 2 owners since it was registered in Holland in 1995. The cars overall condition is very good. The interior has a very neat appearance; the paintwork is as good as new. The bodywork is nice but the paneling is not perfect. The car has been very well serviced; including a recent spend of € 2,700 on maintenance. The original owners manual and some recent invoices are available. The so-called ‘datakarte’ confirms the authenticity of the matching numbers engine and the original colour of ‘834 Moosgrün Metallic’. This is a high-quality, fast, luxury limousine and better still, it is ready to go!
