Last week, the largest classic automobile fair in Europe took place: Techno Classica Essen. We would like to thank all the people who visited our stand.
Gallery Aaldering was present with a staggering 21 exclusive classic cars. During the Concours D’Élégance, the very rare Fiat 8V ‘Otto Vu’ Vignale Coupé from 1953 was awarded first prize in the E class, Post-War 1946 – 1960, by the international professional jury. This unique classic car was also appreciated by the journalists, winning a terrific second prize in the Media Awards in the Post-War category.
Nick Aaldering: “We are honoured to be awarded these fantastic prizes. This was the first Fiat Vignale Coupé 8V ever made. In total, only nine coupés were made with a Vignale bodywork, but they all had a different design, so this is a unique model! The extravagant shape, large chrome grill and sunk back lights show the characteristic high level of finish of this handmade car. This elegant car will be admitted to the most important historical car events in the world”.
Successful finish to the trade fair season
Nick: “With winning these prizes and the sales of a staggering nine beautiful vintage cars during Techno Classica Essen, we can look back on a very successful trade fair season.”
The Techno Classica show, held this year from 5 to 9 April, is known as the main vintage fair in Europe, with more than 200,000 visitors, and for Gallery Aaldering it is also the finish to the trade fair season.
