Last week, the largest classic automobile fair in Europe took place: Techno Classica Essen. Gallery Aaldering was present with a staggering 22 exclusive classic cars. We sold eight of them to new happy customers.

During the Concours D’Élégance, the very rare 1936 Bentley 4 ¼ Litre Drophead Coupé was awarded with a first prize in the Class D-Post Vintage 1931 – 1945, by the international professional jury.

“We are honoured to be awarded first prize for this fantastic 1936 Bentley 4 ¼ Litre Drophead Coupé. This particular car, the Bentley Derby, has a one-off body, crafted by the well-known Parisian coachbuilder Antem. This car was expressively built in 1936 to the requirements of the Greek shipping tycoon, racing driver and Bentley collector André Embericos. A few years ago the car underwent a complete restoration and mechanical revision process. This car is in absolute concours condition.”

Successful finish of the trade fair season
“With winning this price and the sales of a staggering eight beautiful cars during Techno Classica Essen, we can look back on a very successful trade fair season.”

The Techno Classica show, held this year from 21 to 25 March, is known as the main vintage fair in Europe, with more than 200,000 visitors.
