The Countach, perhaps the supercar with the most bizarre design ever. Even now, almost fifty years after its introduction in 1974, the car still looks futuristic. Several of them have adorned the showroom of Gallery Aaldering, so with our experience, we can say that we now have a Countach that classes amongst the most beautiful and best in the world. Yes, we realize that’s quite a statement, but any connoisseur will have to admit, after a glance and a test drive, that there are hardly any other specimens that are in such great condition and drive so wonderfully.

The foundation of the Countach may date back to 1974, but this particular one is from 1988, two years before production of the model ceased. While the original versions of the ultra-angular super sports car lacked a spoiler or extreme styling, additional features and modifications were added to the Lamborghini over the years. It made the Countach the loudest and most boisterous boy in the class. The LP5000 QV, of which only 610 were built, which you see here, is also executed in the colours of its arch-rival Ferrari: red paint with a cream-coloured interior. It took courage to tick that box at Lamborghini in 1988.

The first owner, who purchased the already legendary “poster car” in November 1988, had the red bull for 26 years. After that, the car only had two other owners. The Lamborghini Countach is a car from a time when the cars were still hand-built at the factory. Italians are second to none in that regard, but sometimes things may have turned out slightly different than intended. Not with this Rosso Siviglia Countach: this car is an example of how a truly good Countach should be.
With its red body in absolute top condition, combined with its white Teledial wheels and enormous Pirelli P Zero Asimmetrico tires (225/50VR15 front, 345/35VR15 rear), no one can deny having missed seeing the Countach. The massive air intakes, wide wheel arches, and enormous wing: everything about this car is so extreme that it is perfectly proportioned. The condition? As you would expect with a mileage of 57,902, it is perfect. If there’s anything to be found, you’ll need a magnifying glass to spot some stone chips. They are minimal and so few that they hardly need to be mentioned.

The same goes for the interior, which is in impeccable condition. Accessible through the upward-opening doors, which was a unique feature at the time and had never been seen in a production car before in this way. We have never seen a Countach that was so neatly cared for on the inside, with stitching so precise and everything functioning so well, as with this LP5000 QV. Even the air conditioning works well. From the deep seats to the fully leather-covered dashboard, everything is just as you would have found it in the brochure back then.

The Countach is powered by, of course, a V12 engine. In this case, it is 5.2 litres in size and, thanks to the six Weber carburettors, it produces 455 horsepower, an incredible amount, especially 35 years ago. The power is delivered through a five-speed manual gearbox.

The LP5000QV comes with the necessary invoices and Fahrzeugbrief, as well as a purchase receipt from the previous owner. An excellent addition to any collection of legendary supercars or to be used for what it was made for: countless exhilarating rides!
