What more do we need to explain about the B? Not much, right? The British roadster is one of the most well-known and popular classic open two-seater cars and for years it was almost the standard when you thought of a classic roadster. The beautifully designed B was presented in 1962 and symbolizes the affordable British classic roadster.

This B dates back to 1965 and has already been completely restored. Do not take our word for it: Have a look at the full photo report that comes with the car. The MGB was taken apart down to the last screw and the bodywork was stripped back to bare metal. The photos show how the body, interior, and step by step all the mechanics were brought back to top condition and the whole car rebuilt.
The included Heritage Trust certificate shows that this MGB was originally delivered in Flamenco Red, the same finish currently proudly displayed. Even more important for the purist: the engine still has the same engine number as when the car left the factory in 1965. The car was originally supplied to America. Just to clarify and avoid misunderstandings: in the early years, B’s in America also had chrome bumpers, so this is not a conversion, the car is entirely in the correct state.

Thanks to the previous restoration, the car is now free of any issues and has been used recreationally for the last few decades. The bodywork is in a neat condition. The panel gaps are neat and the paintwork is still in a very fresh condition. The tidy chrome wire wheels give the car a very fresh look. In the photos, you can see that the sills and bottom are in good order and don’t pose any surprises.
The interior is also in a particularly neat condition and matches the car’s exterior. The black upholstery with red piping looks beautiful and has no damage. The dashboard with all the Smiths gauges and controls is even surprisingly neat. It turns out an MG B is quite a pleasant place to be.
In the trunk, it is clear that this is a neat car, with neat panel gaps and bodywork. By the way, a tidy tonneau cover is also stored away here.

The engine bay of the B looks very well-maintained. The pleasant and smoothly running 1.8 four-cylinder engine has just under 100 hp and therefore has no trouble with the open two-seater weighing less than 1,000 kilograms. It’s pure and sporty enjoyment with an MG B and this red ’65 model is no exception. The steering, suspension, and brakes feel confident and the four-speed gearbox with overdrive is no exception. It’s pleasant to drive on long journeys.
All in all, this British roadster is a neat and reliable choice if you want to enjoy the character of a British open two-seater. The car comes with some documents, the Heritage Trust certificate, and a photo report of the restoration in book form and on DVD.
