Unieke De Tomaso Guarà Coupé. De Guarà was het laatste model dat Alejandro De Tomaso heeft geproduceerd, hierna ging De Tomaso failliet. Dit exemplaar is nieuw geleverd aan Sport Cars Gmbh in Stuttgart, Duitsland op 26 september 1995. De auto werd op 19 oktober 1995 voor het eerst geregistreerd en heeft slechts 46.219 kilometers gereden. De laatste eigenaar heeft de auto ruim 11 jaar in bezit gehad. De Guarà is gebaseerd op het Maserati Barchetta Stradale protoype uit 1991. Een raceauto met minimale aanpassingen om toegelaten te worden voor de openbare weg. In totaal zijn er slechts 50 exemplaren geproduceerd, waarvan 38 in Coupé vorm! De body is gemaakt van fiberglas, Kevlar en andere zéér lichte hoogwaardige materialen en is geplaatst op een ‘backbone’ aluminium chassis. De ophanging is vergelijkbaar met techniek uit de Formule 1, de Guarà staat dan ook bekend als zéér direct en wendbaar. De eerste Guarà’s waren, net als dit exemplaar, voorzien van een 282 pk sterke aluminium BMW M60 B40 V8 motor, afkomstig uit de BMW 840 Ci. De motor is gekoppeld aan een handgeschakelde transmissie van Getrag met 6 versnellingen. Behalve de motor deelt de Guarà nog meer techniek van BMW, in zowel elektronisch als optisch opzicht bijvoorbeeld het interieur. Deze De Tomaso is uitgevoerd in haar originele kleurstelling ‘Blu’ met een Pelle ‘Blu’ lederen interieur. Gedocumenteerd met haar originele instructieboekje, kopie van oude Duitse papieren en zelfs de eerste uitlever bon van 26/09/1995 zijn nog aanwezig. Technisch is de auto uitstekend onderhouden en verkeert dan ook in een perfect werkende conditie. De laatste jaren is de auto altijd in onderhoud geweest bij BMW dealer Le Couter, waarvan vele onderhoudsfacturen beschikbaar. Als extra is de De Tomaso voorzien van een Tubi uitlaatsysteem, klinkt fantastisch! Een unieke coupé met een prachtig Italiaans design, gecombineerd met bijzondere techniek afkomstig uit Duitsland, Italië en uit de Formule 1. Dit model is absoluut uniek en zelden of nooit op de markt beschikbaar.

There are more features that this DeTomaso shares with BMW such as its electronics and the cars interior appearance. This DeTomaso has its original ‘Blu’ exterior finish with a ‘Pelle Blu’ leather interior trim. It comes with the original owner’s manual, a copy of the old German papers and even the first 26/09/1995 delivery notice. The fact that this car drives perfectly is thanks to excellent maintenance. For the last couple of years BMW dealer Le Couter serviced the car, with many invoices detailing the maintenance. It also has a fantastic sounding Tubi exhaust system!
