Trade-in car.

launched the new Quattroporte in 1979, the third generation. Giorgietto Giugiaro, then working at Italdesign, designed the car, which from this generation onwards is again equipped with a V8 and has rear-wheel drive. The 4.9 liter V8 is actually a direct derivative of the engine found in the 450S racers of the late 1950s. In the Quattroporte, the power source produces 290 hp, which is released to the rear wheels via a three-speed automatic transmission.

The interior is spacious and equipped with a lot of leather and a wood finish. The Maserati Quattroporte of this series is one of the last truly hand-built Maseratis and is therefore slowly but surely becoming a valued classic.

This Quattroporte has stood still for years in a collection, being beautiful was enough. It is therefore advisable to take a good look at the technology before driving this special Italian sedan. The bodywork is quite good, with some imperfections in the paint here and there. The beautiful Campagnolo wheels are in neat condition, including the spare wheel that is present.

The interior is quite neat, but time has not stood still on the comfortable seats of the Quattroporte. Yet almost all of this can be put back into good condition with the necessary ‘Tender, love and care’, as the English so beautifully say.
