The Giulia 1300 Super from 1973 embodies everything that makes the Alfa Romeo 105 series so appealing. Produced between 1962 and 1978, these models are renowned for their elegant designs and impressive performance. Under the hood of this Italian beauty lies a lively twin-cam engine, and with near-perfect weight distribution, it delivers a driving experience synonymous with the passion of Italian automotive engineering. Add to that the unmistakable sound of the dual carburetors, and you have a car that offers pure driving pleasure, as only the Italians can.

The design of the Giulia, conceived by Giuseppe Scarnati, features clean lines and a boxy shape that exudes timeless appeal. Despite its angular silhouette, the Giulia boasts a surprisingly low drag coefficient of just 0.34, making it decades ahead of its time. It is no surprise, then, that the Giulia is considered one of the most balanced classic cars, excelling not only visually but also in terms of performance and investment potential. It’s a perfect blend of design and sportiness.

This particular example spent much of its life in Italy. It is one of the last Giulia 1300 Supers produced, and it has been fully restored and meticulously refurbished to a very high standard. The bodywork was carefully disassembled and resprayed in the stunning color “Faggio,” which pairs perfectly with the chic “Marrone” interior. During the restoration, great attention was paid to details, such as applying stone chip protection inside and treating the sills and doors with Dinitrol for long-lasting protection. The sound insulation was also renewed and greatly improved, contributing to a quiet and comfortable ride.
The interior of the car is a true delight. The carpets have been completely renewed, including those in the trunk, and the dashboard has been partially restored. The electrical system has been fully updated, including modern additions like an electric windshield washer, a new battery, and a new alternator. All door seals have been replaced, and new headlights and taillights give the car a fresh look.

Technically, this Giulia is also up-to-date. The engine has been upgraded to a 1600 cc Alfetta spec and fully overhauled, with new cylinder liners, pistons, and camshafts, among other components. The carburetors have been refurbished, as has the gearbox, which now features new end bearings, seals, and a new clutch with associated parts. High-quality components were chosen for the suspension: Bilstein shock absorbers at the rear, red Koni shock absorbers at the front, and upgraded springs provide a more stable and responsive ride. The steering and braking systems have also been addressed, contributing to the excellent driving experience of this classic Alfa. Since 1975, we have been deeply involved with Alfa Romeos, and we can confidently say that an example like this is even better than when it left the factory. With this car, we provide an extensive documentation package, including recent invoices detailing all maintenance and parts.

With detailed documentation and a fantastic condition that invites driving every time, this Alfa Romeo Giulia 1300 Super is ready for many more years of driving pleasure. This is a unique opportunity for the enthusiast looking for a beautifully restored Italian classic. We can assure you that once you’ve driven this Alfa, it will be hard to let go.
