The TD21 is a British sports sedan or Drophead Coupe made by Alvis between late 1958 and October 1963. The car was a revised version of the earlier TC 108G with coachwork courtesy of Park Ward. The 2,993 cc engine of its predecessor was developed further to yield 115 Ps (86 Kw). In 1961 our car was registered for the first time. Since 1994 until now, 27 years, it has remained in the same hands in Oslo, Norway. The owners have clearly cherished the car as it has remained pretty original. The interior trim appears to be the authentic factory supplied one and has now developed a lovely patina. The car has been re-sprayed in the original colour and though the paintwork is good it is no longer as fresh as it once was. The soft-top is original and is now due to be replaced. Despite this car needing some Tender Love and Care it should not be seen as a restoration project, it is basically too good a car for that classification. The engine runs well, the driving and the gear change being quite pleasant. We would suggest that the car is thoroughly inspected and serviced before taken into regular service. Underneath, the car is sound and rust-free. Further investigation has revealed this car has retained its original, matching numbers. The car has hardly been used since the gearbox underwent an overhaul in 2008. We do not often encounter these cars anymore, especially not in this condition. The one question remaining is: Are you the one to give this car the care and attention it so rightly deserves?
