Do you also believe that if they were to introduce the Citroën DS today it would once more be an overwhelming sales success? Our car came into being in 1967. Having been owned by just a single family for the last 30 years (first dad then son), this DS21 has always been perfectly looked after as well lovingly and with an enormous amount of dedication, restored. The remarkable detail about this DS21 is the fact is although a still just about a second series car with separate headlights it already has the use of the new hydraulic system.

This DS21 has recently been fully restored and is now in fantastic shape. The car has a lovely two-tone finish of navy blue over grey metallic. Whilst the iconic shape of the DS is easily recognisable as that of a classic car, this colour scheme lends the car a surprisingly modern aura. The quality of the finish is really very good and has held up perfectly well. It has nice and thin, correctly aligned panelwork. The brightwork too is perfectly in order.

The interior trim has been reupholstered, maintaining the original integrity. The car has tailor fitted red carpets and fine cloth upholstery. If you were wondering if the seats are as comfortable as they

look, we can wholeheartedly, positively affirm this notion! This DS21 has also been fitted with the rare and particularly appealing accessory of a “Jaeger Tableau” These instruments not only look grand they also are in fine working order, together with all the other controls.

You would not expect anything other than the car’s mechanical aspect to be in splendid shape. A peak under the bonnet reveals an image that may well have greeted you in the 1967 showroom; stunning! The engine bay has been detailed in keeping with its origins. The 2,175cc 4-cylinder engine develops 109PS and in our case has a “Citromatic semi-automatic 4-speed transmission. This set-up perfectly suits the relaxed character of its engine and suspension.

This stunning 1967 Citroën DS21 has had the very best of care over the last three decennia. This car presents in absolute peak condition in its beautiful two-tone livery.
