This is a beautiful 1963 Chevrolet C2 Stingray Coupé Split Window with a rare manual transmission. The car has been restored once in the past and still looks very good. The work at the time was carried out to a very high standard and with a great sense of originality which makes the car still a beautiful sight to see today. The connoisseurs see it immediately, this Corvette is from 1963, the grilles on the hood, the split window at the rear, everything is right about this beautiful Corvette.

The polyester body looks beautiful and is of course in top condition. The fittings are fine and the car has beautiful original wheels. The wheels are fitted with good tires in the correct sizes with a subtle white wall. The bumpers fit neatly everywhere and the rest of the chrome on the body is still in beautiful condition. The paint looks beautiful and has a brilliant shine. Here and there some very light traces of use can be seen, but nothing striking. The exhausts are precisely mounted and follow the line of the rear bumper perfectly.

The interior of the Corvette was completely reupholstered during the restoration. This work has been carried out with a great sense of originality and here too the overall picture looks neat. The carpets were completely renewed at the time and have a very good fit, not only do they look neat. The seats were completely reupholstered with beautiful brown vinyl at the time. The interior and exterior complement each other fantastically and complement each other completely. The controls all look neat and function as they should. The dashboard is in good condition as is the luggage compartment.

The first thing the real enthusiast notices is the manual transmission. A real sports car should just have three pedals, it’s that simple. Although it is not self-evident for the average American these days to be able to handle a “stick”. The transmission has four gears. The gearbox is mated to a huge 327 Cubic Inches V8. The engine is not only large but also very powerful. The C2 Corvette had 250 hp as standard, but this copy is equipped with the second strongest engine that was available at the time and delivers 340 hp. It will therefore come as no surprise that the Corvette should still be seen as a true sportscar even by today’s standards. The car has been very well maintained over the years and drives as you would expect from a Corvette. The road-holding is good and the brakes are also easy to dose.

In short, a rare and very fast Chevrolet Corvette C2 from the best year for a C2: 1963. So if you are looking for a split window in good condition to enjoy touring while you can continue driving, then the car is for you. .
