We have acquired a rare and beautiful 365GTC/4 for you. The 365GTC/4 was the successor to the Daytona and this specific 365GTC/4 comes in fetching Blue Ribot with a Ferrari Classiche certificate. Although superficially the Ferrari 365GTC/4 looks like an updated version of the Daytona, it was actually a substantially new design. The 4.4 litre V12 with four overhead camshafts is the same as the Daytona engine. The 365GTC/4 has a much longer nose which necessitated placing the carburettors to the side, allowing the V12 to fit the longer nose. The Colombo V12 delivers 340 Hp and is coupled to a 5-speed gearbox. Similar to the Daytona the GTC/4 has independent suspension to all four wheels. The rear height can be adjusted hydraulically. At the time the appearance of the the 365GTC/4 was extremely advanced. The Ferrari 365GTC/4 has that typica; 70’s wedge shape. The exotic appearance is accentuated by the pop-up headlights, the rubber front bumper and the matt black rear. The 365GTC/4 was designed from the start with integrated pop-up headlights that looked sleeker than those on the Daytona. From the rear six separate taillights impress. Another difference was the option buyers had to choose out of 46 external finishes and 10 different interior trim colours. A client had a near infinite choice of finishes, a unicum for the time! Customers also had the option of chequered upholstery, a rare option that was fitted to our 365GTC/4. At its introduction the 365GTC/4 was lauded for its good brakes, smooth gear change and extensive choice of finishes. The 365GTC/4 is quite rare. Only 500 were built excluding 4 prototypes, of these 194 went stateside with 265 cars left for the rest of the world. Of these 265 cars 41 were RHD leaving only 224 LHD 365GTC/4’s. In 1972 our Ferrari was delivered by French Ferrari importer Pozzi. The car has a stylish “Blue Ribot” finish with semi black leather and chequered cloth to the centre of the seat and doors. In 2002 the car was bought by a South-German collector, who re-sprayed the car navy blue. In 2007 the car was bought by two Ferrari collector friends. In the subsequent years the 365GTC/4 was thoroughly restored. It was given a new stainless steel exhaust system including manifolds costing € 5,500. In 2011 the brakes and suspension were rebuilt as well as cleaning the engine and transmission followed by a re-spray. New wheel arches were also fitted, bringer the total bill to more than € 13,500. In 2012 the Ferrari was completely stript the re-spray in correct original “Blue Ribot” finish was documented photographically and with invoices. Between 2013-2015 another € 17,000 was invested in the 356GTC/4’s restoration. Completing the restoration another € 30,000 was spent at Ferrari Classiche partner Eberlein in Kassel on maintenance and refurbishment. All this hard work was eventually crowned with the Ferrari Classische Certification. The “Red Book” and the certificate are included. Ferrari Classiche confirm that the car has its original finish, original interior trim and that the car has matching numbers. The last owner kept all service and maintenance up to date. This is a top quality original French Ferrari 365GTC/4 with Matching Numbers & Colours, Ferrari certified with demonstrable provenance.
