A very striking classic, that would describe Jaguar E-type nicely. Elegant, sporty, and with plenty of class. Regarded by many as the most beautiful car ever built, and although we find that to be a bold statement, we understand only too well that some people are of that opinion. The Jaguar E-Type 3.8 Series 1 Coupe we see here is the first series, built in April 1962, delivered to Texas in 1963. It is a very original specimen, still retaining 80% of its original paint and fully “matching” numbered.
This is a highly original early and previously unknown to the market E-Type, which comes with all the necessary documentation, a car wallet with all the booklets and a Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust Certificate.
The word ‘original’, mentioned earlier, also applies to the interior. Beautiful and completely original. Stunning to look at and in great working order. The wonderful original leather seats have developed a very fine patina, and other parts, such as the fabric of its carpets and headliner, are all in splendid condition.
The well-maintained dashboard is original and fits in nicely with the overall appearance of the interior. The bodywork is in good condition with clean sheet metal and correct alignment. This warm red colour is also the car’s original finish. The car’s brightwork is by and large original and in very good condition, naturally showing an expected amount of age-related wear. The same applies to the chrome wire wheels.
The main mechanical feature is a 3.8-liter straight-six engine mated to a four-speed manual transmission. The engine produces 265 hp and is equipped with three carburettors. It is an incredibly impressive engine that not only sounds beautiful but also runs smoothly through the rev range. In addition, the car has double wishbones at the front and independent rear suspension. The driving characteristic of the E-type can only be described as being very good. In short, this very original E-type is a timeless beauty in delightful condition and a true survivor!

Een zeer sprekende klassieker, de Jaguar E-type. Elegant, sportief en met veel klasse. Door velen bestempeld als de mooiste auto ooit gebouwd en hoewel we dat een pittig statement vinden begrijpen we goed dat mensen die mening toebedeeld zijn. De Jaguar E-Type 3.8 Serie 1 Coupé die we hier zien is de eerste serie, gebouwd in April 1962 geleverd in 1963 te Texas en betreft een zeer origineel exemplaar welke nog voor 80% in zijn eerste lak staat en is volledig “matching” genummerd.
Het betreft hier een hele originele vroege en onbekende E-Type op de markt welke komt met de nodige documentatie en een boardmap en een Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust Certificate.
Het woord ‘origineel’ viel hiervoor al een keer maar is ook van toepassing op het interieur. Prachtig en volledig origineel. Schitterend om te zien en fantastisch functionerend. Het fraaie originele leder op de stoelen heeft een zeer mooi patina ontwikkeld en overige delen, zoals de stoffen tapijten en hemel verkeren allemaal in een meer dan goede staat.
Het dashboard is origineel en in een nette staat die past bij de rest van de uitstraling van het interieur. De carrosserie is gaaf met mooi zuiver plaatwerk en correcte passingen. Deze warmrode kleur is ook de originele kleur van deze auto. Het chroomwerk van de auto is grotendeels origineel en in een zeer fraaie staat uiteraard met enige sporen. Datzelfde geldt ook voor de verchroomde spaakwielen. Het hoofdbestanddeel van de techniek bestaat uit een 3.8 liter grote zes-in-lijn motor die is gekoppeld aan een handgeschakelde transmissie met vier versnellingen.
De motor levert 265 pk en is voorzien van drie carburateurs. Het is een enorm indrukwekkende motor die niet alleen prachtig klinkt maar ook heerlijk door de toeren loopt. Daarnaast heeft de auto double whishbones voor en een onafhankelijke wielophanging achter. Het rijgedrag van de E-type is dan ook niet anders te omschrijven als zeer goed Kortom: deze zeer originele E-type is een tijdloze schoonheid in een heerlijke conditie en een echte survivor!

Ein sehr markanter Klassiker, der Jaguar E-Type. Elegant, sportlich und mit viel Klasse. Von vielen als das schönste Auto bezeichnet, das je gebaut wurde, und obwohl wir das für eine kühne Aussage halten, verstehen wir, dass viele Liebhaber dieser Meinung sind. Das Jaguar E-Type 3.8 Series 1 Coupé, das wir hier sehen, ist ein Exemplar aus der 1. Serie, wurde im April 1962 hergestellt, 1963 in Texas ausgeliefert und befindet sich noch in einem sehr originalen Zustand. Das Auto hat noch 80 % seines Erstlacks und hat komplett „Matching Numbers“.
Es handelt sich also um ein sehr originales und frühes Exemplar, das noch nicht bekannt war auf dem Markt. Der Jaguar kommt mit allen erforderlichen Unterlagen, einer Bordkarte und einem Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust-Zertifikat.
Das Wort „Original“ wurde schon mal erwähnt und trifft auch auf den Innenraum zu. Wunderschön und völlig original. Schön um anzusehen und fantastisch funktionierend. Das schöne Originalleder der Sitze hat eine sehr schöne Patina entwickelt und andere Teile, wie die Stoffteppiche und der Dachhimmel, sind alle in einem mehr als guten Zustand.
Auch das Armaturenbrett ist original und in einem gepflegten Zustand, der zum restlichen Erscheinungsbild des Innenraums passt. Die Karosserie ist intakt, sie ist sehr schön und hat korrekten Passungen. Diese warme rote Farbe ist auch die Originalfarbe dieses Autos. Die Chromteile des Autos sind größtenteils original und in sehr schönem Zustand, natürlich sind einige kleine Gebrauchsspuren vorhanden. Gleiches gilt auch für die verchromten Speichenräder. Die Hauptkomponente der Technologie besteht aus einem 3.8 Liter Reihensechszylinder, der mit einem 4-Gang Schaltgetriebe gekoppelt ist.
Der Motor leistet 265 PS und ist mit drei Vergasern versehen. Es ist ein äußerst beeindruckender Motor, der nicht nur schön klingt, sondern auch einwandfrei funktioniert und sehr schön läuft. Darüber hinaus verfügt das Auto über Doppelquerlenker vorne und eine Einzelradaufhängung hinten. Das Fahrverhalten des E-Type kann nur als sehr gut bezeichnet werden. Kurz gesagt: Dieser sehr originale E-Type ist eine zeitlose Schönheit in einem wunderbaren Zustand und hat den Zahn der Zeit sehr gut überstanden!
