Some things are just so unimaginably beautiful. Sometimes, a car is so stunning to behold that it can hardly be captured in pictures. Nevertheless, we have done our best to capture this 3500 GT as accurately as possible on camera. The car has already been restored and mechanical overhauled and is currently in a very healthy condition.

This is a 1963 Maserati 3500GT. As mentioned earlier, both the exterior and the mechanics are in very good condition. The Maserati’s bodywork looks almost pristine. There are some minor signs of use here and there, but they are minimal and appropriate for a car that is meant to be driven. The paint has a deep lustre and even colour. There is a small spot of damage in a single spot. While the car may not be described as a concourse winner, it is undoubtedly a very honest 3500 GT. The fittings are neatly aligned, with even gaps between the various body panels. Many of the body rubbers have been replaced and are in good condition. The trunk is tidy and original, showing signs of use that are consistent with its age and normal use.

The car’s absolute eye-catcher is the beautiful red interior. It was partially reupholstered a few years ago and looks very stylish. Not only was the leather upholstery replaced, but the carpets too were replaced. The seats are excellent, and the leather feels supple; clearly, the right quality was chosen. The top of the dashboard has also been reupholstered in elegant black leather. The Jaeger instruments are true works of art and make you wonder why such beautiful gauges are not more commonly used in modern cars.

Under the hood lies the impressive eight-cylinder engine. The power source and the compartment it is housed in appear very original; an awe-inspiring sight. The aluminium 3.5-litre straight-six engine produces 220 hp and is paired with a five-speed manual transmission. The gearbox having previously been overhauled and operates very smoothly. Three Weber carburettors provide the right mix of fuel and air. The engine runs beautifully, without any worrying non-original sounds. However, the stainless-steel exhaust creates a very pleasant sound that is even more enjoyable than the original.

The Maserati 3500GT was an incredibly modern car for its time, featuring double wishbones in the front suspension. It is a perfect Gran Turismo with a sporty touch. The chassis is well taken care of, and driving the Maserati is an excellent experience. The 3500 GT is equipped with disc brakes all around, according to the original specifications.

Looking for a Maserati 3500 GT? Then this is definitely a specimen worth a trip to Brummen. A very healthy 3500 GT that drives well, looks neat, and comes in a very attractive finished bodywork and upholstery.
