We have a very fine 1972 350SL available. The car was originally supplied to a client in St. Gallen in Switzerland. Wholly in keeping with good Swiss tradition, the car was superbly maintained by its supplying Mercedes-Benz dealership. It has been in singe ownership since its arrival in the Netherlands in 2016. The car has been well maintained and especially it is in an authentic condition.

The bodywork is very neat with fine, original and correctly aligned panelwork. The chrome mouldings all shine brightly. The car has retained its original rims with the part chrome, part painted hubcaps. The hood is easy to open and close by hand with good insulation. The hood is not showing any significant signs of wear and tear. The paintwork has a few blemishes commiserate with its age. A cosmetic respray was carried out to a high standard.

The completely original interior still looks fantastic. The car has blue leather upholstery, blue carpets and a blue dashboard, all in very neat condition. All instruments and controls are in good working order, as is the steering wheel and gearstick.

The R107 350SL has a 3.5 litre V8 engine producing 197 Ps. It has a 3-speed automatic transmission. The engine excels with its enormous mid-range torque, designed for comfortable touring. In conclusion we have to emphasise the fact this car has been extremely well maintained and documented. There is paperwork relating to its sojourn in Switzerland in particular its original owner’s manual and service book.
