The SL W113, better known as the Pagoda: you should follow it. That task falls on the shoulders of the SL of the R107 series, which comes on the market in 1971. However, manages to get it done and manages to build one of the longest-running model series with the R107 SL. The model has been in production for 18 years, with more than 237,000 being built. It is not for nothing that the SL is such a great success, it is simply about the best that can be bought at the time. The R107, where the R stands for Roadster, is also important for the US market and so it is equipped with all kinds of luxury options to satisfy the customer. That works.

Mother of Pearl Metallic (colour code 122), that’s the name of the fantastic colour that this 560 SL wears. Combined with black leather, it is perhaps the most stylish combination that could be chosen at the time. The first owner not only opted for a beautiful combination, but also for the top engine, the 5.6 liter V8, especially for the American market. With 227 hp and 287 Nm of torque at 3,500 rpm, it is a hell of an engine. Well, the complete version is already one to enjoy, the condition of this copy makes the party more than complete.
The 560 SL you see here has only driven 57,711 miles, just over 90,000 kilometres. The condition of the car can therefore be described as mint. A car in a truly fantastic condition wherever you look, feel or experience. The car is almost full options and is also equipped with a hardtop, which can be removed in an instant so that you can enjoy the open air, the formidable V8 and the beautiful driving characteristics.
The bodywork is really very tight. With beautiful, largely original paint, it is a pleasure to admire the car up close. The beloved paint colour only makes that, even more, the case. Damage and ‘patina’ are foreign to the bodywork, with chrome parts, rubbers and lighting parts perfectly matching the condition of the paint. Rarely have we seen such a good R107.

The interior is also exceptionally beautiful and good. The black leather is in excellent condition, something that actually applies to everything around you, once you have taken a seat in this very richly equipped R107. The dashboard, door panels, carpet and everything else: we can’t find anything that isn’t in top condition. In addition, there has also been a great deal of work when selecting the options. A selection of the selected extras:
240 (outdoor temperature gauge), 262 (rear spoiler omitted), 442 (steering wheel airbag), 506 (left and right mirrors heated), 519 (Becker Mexico Grand Prix), 531 (automatic aerial), 543 (sun visors with lighting and make-up up mirror), 551 (anti-theft system), 570 (folding armrest), 581 (automatic air conditioning), 592 (heat resistant glass, with heated rear window).

The technique is also in impeccable condition. Its condition is identical to its looks: perfect. The smooth V8 runs beautifully and silky smooth, with the automatic gearbox running silently and providing perfect gear transitions. With 227 hp, the eight-cylinder is also very smooth, ensuring performance and driving characteristics that you will not get enough of.
This is truly a touring car that offers unparalleled fun over long stretches on the motorway, but opens up and opens up for unbelievable mileage on back roads as well. Of course, the bottom is just as good as the rest of the car, without any visible rust, also thanks to the use of the car that only took place in the summer.

This R107 is cherished and very well maintained, maintenance is always carried out carefully and by specialists.
