We have a very nice 1970 Mercedes-Benz W113 280SL Pagoda. The car is finished in fetching “Signal Rot” on the outside and a “natural braun” interior. The car was supplied new the Mercedes-Benz dealership in Santa Monica, America and has been partially restored. The bodywork looks great with nice and thin, correctly aligned panelwork. The paintwork and brightwork both appear nice and neat with only minimal signs of use. It has the natural braun leather interior trim and carpets than contrast wonderfully with the red paintwork. The VDO instrument cluster is in good order and works as it should. An attractive extra feature is the factory installed air-conditioning. The car has a light brown convertible hood which is in good shape as well as closing snuggly. The 280SL has a M130 straight-six engine delivering 170 PS attached to a 4-speed automatic. This Pagoda has only clocked up some 51,285 miles and has therefore never needed to be fully restored. Of course good maintenance over the years has played its roll too. The car is nicely documented. The full car wallet including the “Datenkarte” and metal punch plate and radio manual are included. This is a delightful Mercedes-Benz 280SL with that fine 2.8 litre and in great shape.

Het betreft hier een hele fraaie Mercedes-Benz W113 280SL Pagode uit 1970. De auto is uitgevoerd in een prachtige kleurstelling met een “Signal Rot” exterieur en een “natural braun” interieur. De auto is nieuw geleverd door de Mercedes-Benz dealer in Santa Monica in de Verenigde Staten en is in het verleden deels gerestaureerd. De carrosserie ziet er dan ook prachtig uit met mooi dun plaatwerk en correcte passingen. De lak en het chroom zien er goed uit en verkeren in nette staat met hier en daar wat lichte sporen van gebruik. Het interieur is bekleed met natural braun leder en bijpassende tapijten, die een prachtig contrast vormen met de rode lak. De VDO-instrumenten en het dashboard verkeren in goede staat en alles functioneert zoals het hoort. Een fijne bijkomstigheid bij deze 280SL is dat de auto af-fabriek is uitgevoerd met airconditioning. De auto is voorzien van een lichtbruine cabrioletkap die eveneens in goede staat verkeert en overal mooi aansluit. De 280SL wordt aangedreven door een M130 zes-in-lijn motor die in dit geval 170 pk levert en is gekoppeld aan een automatische transmissie met vier versnellingen. De Pagode heeft nog maar 51.285 mijl gereden en behoefde dientengevolge nog nooit een volledige restauratie. Dit is mede te danken aan het goede onderhoud van de afgelopen decennia. De auto is prachtig gedocumenteerd. De volledige boordmap is aanwezig inclusief datenkarte en ponsplaatje en de handleiding bij de radio.
