In 1963, the 911 was introduced at the International Automobile Show in Frankfurt. Over the years, the car became faster, more efficient, longer, and wider, but always retained the basic concept with the rear engine and the typical rearward line. What we love about a Porsche 911 from the 1980s, such as the one we offer here, is that the car is very compact, yet still spacious enough. We realize once again how pure driving can be. Did you know that the wheelbase of this type 911 is shorter than that of the Subaru Justy? No? Well, now you do. When we sit inside, we can actually conclude that the interior already looked quite vintage and old school for the time. By this, we mean that the switches are not necessarily located in the most logical places. For instance, the tachometer is perfectly visible, but the other gauges are somewhat less readable due to the steering wheel. Does this matter? Of course not, because the interior has so much character that it is wonderful to spend time behind the wheel of a Porsche from this era. And that is the appeal of a classic Porsche.

Where does the fun begin with a Porsche 911 from the 1980s? With the air-cooled engine, of course. The 3.2-liter engine is a very fine power source with enough power and with the delightful air-cooled sound.

Our example is a beautiful and original Porsche 911 3.2 Carrera from the second owner, equipped with a sunroof and matching numbers. This car was delivered new on September 12, 1986, by Len Stoler Porsche in Maryland, USA. The car has only 101,287 miles on the odometer. From day one, the car has been carefully maintained and well-documented. Many invoices, including the original car card and the first purchase receipt from September 26, 1986, are present. The original service and instruction booklets are also with the car.

The bodywork is in very good condition, with perfect fitment. The paintwork is mostly original and in beautiful condition. All correct stickers are in the right place, including the one under the front hood. This 911 is finished in the original color ‘Iris Blue Metallic’ with a dark blue leather interior. The interior, along with the carpets and steering wheel, is in very original condition. The seats show minimal signs of use, as does the dashboard, and are still very neat.

In addition to the standard equipment such as air conditioning and electric windows, this Porsche is equipped with various extra options, including cruise control, electric sunroof, rear wiper, metallic paint, leather interior, Fuchs wheels, and a short-shifter. The 911, of course, comes with a Porsche certificate and has its original matching numbers 3.2 engine.

In short, a top original 911 with only 101,287 miles and a correct history. Are you interested in this beautiful Porsche 911? Contact us today, we are happy to assist you.
