Few cars are as legendary as the 911 Turbo. In the early years of the Turbo, like with the 930 Turbo, the sudden onset of the Turbo’s known ‘turbo lag’ combined with the rear weight of the car gave it a somewhat fearsome reputation among certain buyers. However, with the advent of technical changes, Porsche responded by giving the Turbo a smoother driving experience.

Fortunately, Porsche did not stop with the air-cooled engine and turbo madness with the 930 Turbo. The 964 Turbo was a worthy successor and a true rear-engined Porsche masterpiece. Of course, the 964 Turbo retained the unique and recognizable Turbo look with its distinctive bodywork. You can imagine that the model was incomparable at the time. Sensational is the word that comes to mind. There was also nothing subtle about this Porsche.

The 964 was still the only car with a rear-mounted engine available as a production sports car. Naturally, the 964 Turbo is immediately recognizable by its enormous spoiler. Under that large spoiler and engine cover lies the fantastic 3.3-liter six-cylinder engine with a large intercooler. How about 0-100 km/h (about 62mph) in about 5 seconds? And a top speed of 168 mph? Serious performance, even today. We don’t need to explain that with a car of this caliber, you must always keep your attention on the road. The technical changes over the years make it easier, which also makes this a fantastic car to drive. Another interesting detail: many auto journalists were so impressed with the power steering that it was even praised as the best ever made. Porsche produced only 3,660 units of the 964 Turbo.

Our Porsche 911 Turbo was delivered on June 26, 1991, at Porsche Center D’Ieteren in Brussels and has only driven 79,000 km, remaining in impeccable condition. The first owner ordered this lightning-fast turbo with a ‘Limited Slip Differential’, sport seats with electric adjustment on both sides, and an electric sunroof. The owner also chose Nighblue as the exterior color, with blue leather upholstery and carpets.

This car comes with all original Porsche booklets, including a stamped service book. There are also several invoices with the car, including recent major maintenance. Additionally, a complete Bilstein kit was installed for outstanding handling. We provide this Porsche with a printout of the mileage history.

For a Porsche that is more than 30 years old, the entire car looks fantastic. The paint shows very few signs of use, and the bodywork is straight and in excellent condition overall. The windows are in very good condition, as are the trim pieces and the beautiful wheels with correct tires. Importantly, the bodywork has correct and beautiful panel fittings, and the doors close perfectly. The sunroof works excellently, as do the electric windows. The underside of the car makes a very good impression, and we can rightfully say that the low mileage is an excellent reflection of the condition of this example.

Inside, we find the sport seats that look almost new. The seat bolsters are still undamaged, and the blue carpets have not faded as can happen with other examples. The headliner is also in excellent condition. Furthermore, the car is well-equipped as standard. We find airbags, air conditioning, and a Porsche radio with extensive functions.

The 3.3-liter engine loves to make its presence known, and the sound of the six-cylinder engine is incredibly distinctive, as only an air-cooled Porsche can be. The engine runs excellently, and the turbo performs as expected. The gearbox is a joy to operate with short and precise shifts, without any play. The large ventilated disc brakes perform excellently, and the brake pedal feels responsive. Thanks to the Bilstein suspension, this example truly sticks to the road like a rock.
