This is a 996 Targa, of which only 5,152 units were built, and comes from a Porsche enthusiast. It is in neat and well-maintained condition.

Proven service history

This Porsche originally comes from Belgium and has a verifiable service history where the services have been performed by Porsche dealers and specialists. Additionally, this example includes the original Porsche booklets.

Neat condition

With neat panel gaps and nice paint with only light signs of use, the color Nachtblau (Night Blue) shines nicely, and the wheels are in very neat condition. The entire exterior gives a good impression.

The interior of a 996 is significantly more spacious compared to its predecessor, but still offers the same low seating position and the beautiful instrumentation. Considering its age and mileage, the leather looks very good, and it’s clear that this example has been treated with care.

The 3.4-liter engine is significantly more powerful than its predecessor, the 993. With 300 HP and the Targa version, it’s pure enjoyment, and the experience is fantastic. The engine responds promptly, and the transmission shifts smoothly. The fully aluminum suspension is in good condition, and the ride feels very stable. Driving this Porsche is a pleasure, time and time again.

A new era for Porsche

Change can sometimes be difficult. Porsche was very loyal to the air-cooled six-cylinder engine, and the basic principle remained the same for over 30 years since the 911 was introduced in the 1960s. But even an icon must make room for innovation, and so in 1997, Porsche introduced the renewed 911, equipped with a water-cooled six-cylinder engine. It took Dr. Porsche’s engineers 34 years to drastically alter the original formula. The press no longer spoke of an evolution but of a revolution.
