The Massini rapport on this car shows us that this brilliant 365 GT 2+2 was supplied to the Canadian, Montreal Ferrari dealer George Woolley in 1970. Shortly afterwards the first owner, a Mr Sheldon C Brooks, took possession. The Ferrari 365 GT 2+2 was the first Ferrari with independent suspension. During this period the Ferrari 365 GT 2+2 was one of the brands best selling models. Figures from that time show that production was quite a bit slower than today. Only 800 365’s left the factory between 1967 and 1971. The beauty of Ferrari’s from that period is that, in contrast to today’s models, they were all traditionally built Gran Tourers. The body was designed by Pininfarina’s design-studio Aldo Brovarone. Our car has remained extremely authentic. Unbelievably over the last 50 years this Ferrari has clocked up less than 28,000 miles. The car has a “Marine Colorado” finish with a beige leather interior trim, which is exactly the same as it left the factory with. The paintwork has had a cosmetic re-spay at some stage, the good craftsmanship is still evident today. The bodywork is near perfect with lovely fine thin body panels and correctly aligned shut lines. The brightwork has been carefully looked after. The chassis is rock solid and completely rust-free. The interior is completely original. You can easily appreciate the quality leather used, it is also has a lovely patina. The carpets and headliner are similarly neat and original. The car has been well maintained mechanically. The 4.4 litre Colombo V-12 engine was extensively rebuilt in 2018. The engine and gearbox were thoroughly inspected and repaired where needed. Amongst the repairs are such items as; new spark plugs, stabiliser rod, front and rear rubbers, a new exhaust, new valve cover gasket, valve covers were re-sprayed with wrinkle paint, 5 new Michelin XWX tyres, all cooling tubing, the heater matrix overhauled and re-sprayed, the clutch and fly-wheel re-balanced, aircon completely overhauled, new head gasket and a full engine re-tuning. After reading this, it will come as no surprise that the engine runs beautifully as well as being very powerful. The bill for the above came to over $ 22.250,- and is part of the documentation pack. The original car wallet containing the owner’s manual, spare parts booklet and all the sound system books are present. This is not only a beautiful Ferrari 365 GT 2+2 to look at, it is beauty to drive too. For us this is a unique opportunity to sell such an original Ferrari 365 GT 2+2. Quite rightly a unique vehicle!
