If you wanted a luxury sedan with the performance of a sports car in the 1960s, you couldn’t ignore the Mk II. With a power output well above 200 horsepower, these were very fast cars that could be driven with great comfort. It’s no wonder that the police in those days were required to drive Jaguars, and the criminal underworld consistently chose a Jaguar to rob banks or commit other crimes. It’s not surprising that TV hero Inspector Morse also chose a Mk II.

The Mk II we are offering here is equipped with the very pleasant 3.4-litre six-cylinder engine. With 210 horsepower, it remains a highly sporty car with performance that still leaves modern cars behind. However, that doesn’t have to be the sole objective, as the Jaguar provides an incredibly enjoyable driving experience when you’re on the road sportily without having to push the car to the limit. That is not necessary as the car has ample power and torque across the whole range.

This is an original Dutch car delivered to its first owner on December 20, 1965. Interestingly, there has only been one other owner since then, so this car is now ready in our showroom for its third owner.

The Mk II was beautifully restored about twenty years ago. It was a professional restoration where no expense was spared to achieve the ultimate result. The car was given a unique green finish that looks truly fantastic. Rarely have we seen a Mk II that showcases itself as well as this example. The single-tone paint beautifully contrasts with the chrome elements, such as the bumpers, grille, lighting components, and of course, the wire wheels, which are in concours condition.

Adding to its allure is the gorgeous green interior perfectly complementing the exterior colour. The leather has developed a beautiful patina, giving the car the appearance of not being overly restored. At the same time, the entire interior is in a superb condition, devoid of any flaws or damage. As can be seen, the woodwork has also been expertly lacquered and looks like new.

The engine, which was fully overhauled at the time, runs smoothly and sounds very pure. In this case, the power-plant is coupled with a four-speed manual gearbox with overdrive. The entire engine and transmission function perfectly and provide a fantastic driving experience, along with the excellent suspension and precise steering. It truly makes the car a joy to be on the road with. Sportiness and smoothness blend exceptionally well in this magnificent handling Jaguar.

A photo folder documenting the restoration process at the time will accompany the Jaguar. To put it simply, this Mk II is a top car in remarkably good condition, featuring an equally impressive colour combination.
